Hello, my name is Austen and I created this site as a resource for other computational mathematicians and scientists like myself. Developing websites is a hobby of mine, so in my spare time I will continue to add to its functionality. Contributions from the computational math, science and engineering community are welcome. My current e-mail is aduffy@math.fsu.edu. I have a Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Florida State University, and am currently working as a computational mathematician for Citilabs. At Citilabs, I am developing the company's next generation 'matrix estimation' software, which essentially entails assimilation of traffic data. I am open to listening to any exciting oppurtunities that a company may have for a young computational mathemtician/software developer such as myself. I am knowledgeable in the broad area of computational mathematics, but my primary areas of interest are data assimilation, numerical optimization, Parallel and HPC/GPU computing, simulation based design and CFD. I get really excited about anything parallel and optimization based , and I am more interested in the software development aspect than in pure research. My minimum salary requirement ranges from $100,000 per year in most areas to $125,000 in an expensive to live area like NYC, DC or San Fran areas. See my CV. I am available part time for consulting or custom software development. Need an open source 'test code' developed for your research group? Do you need a current code set updated for new many-core computers? I can do that and much more, email me at aduffy@math.fsu.edu to discuss oppurtunities.
